5/21/15 Update Post

The biggest task that I have accomplished to to be ready for June 10 is I found all the information needed for my project and I know how I will set up my presentation which will include a power point and than a presentation with props. This will include my lacrosse gear and stick. The most interesting thing I have learned about my topic lacrosse is all the different rules and the field diagram. I also want to tell you that I hope after i'm done presenting i hope you learn a lot and you might think about joining a lacrosse team.

Lacrosse- Progress

My progress has been a success because I have everything on topic and it seems like it is all coming together pretty well. I have followed the timeline so I am on track for what to do and how I should do it. I have figured out what items I will bring in to present my topic lacrosse. I will present with my lacrosse equipment and how the lacrosse field is set out. I will also explain some of the rules and the major ones so you know some of the rules about the game of lacrosse. I have had success up to date because I am on track of the timeline and not behind. I have all the topics I want to talk about with the class. My next steps are going to be finding the main rules of lacrosse and trying to explain them. Then I will get a picture of the field and name all the lines and everything on the field. I still have a lot to do but it is all planned out for what I am doing.

Lax For Life: Final decision making

I will be mostly talking about the rules of the game and the field structure. I could also tell the class about the names of everything that is on a lacrosse stick from the shaft to the head. I think people will be pretty interested in all the things I will tell them they might have to try out lacrosse. When I talk about the rules I will tell the most important rules because there are a lot to just keep naming. I will also explain the whole field out and name mostly everything on the field so you know what all the lines are for and everything. Lastly I will be sharing my stick and telling you all the parts on it and let you get a feel for it. I'm sure after I tell you about these things you will be more interested in the sport lacrosse.

Lacrosse- Getting Started

I plan to focus on lacrosse in general. This includes the rules of the game, the equipment you have to wear so you can be safe , and the players and how many are on the field at once and how the field is setup too.

My guided questions along the way to keep me on track is- Do I have all of the information I need for this topic? Do I explain to the audience all of the things I want to explain to them to so they get the best knowledge out of this? Do I have a good presentation?

I chose lacrosse because I have a lot of knowledge about the sport. I play on three teams including NJLC, Northern Muddogs, and the Middle school team. I've also been playing for about 4 years now. I also thought it would be pretty cool telling the class about lacrosse from my perspective.

Lacrosse is a very hard sport to play when you first start off. You have to learn all the rules and how to catch and throw, and the field layout. You also have to be ready to hit someone or get hit. Once you learn the basics lacrosse is very fun to play. You get a lot of bumps and bruises but you have to learn to not cry about it because sometimes you have to get hit with a full speed ball.
